I am the founder of Potomac Picnics, a luxury event design company specializing in curated, Instagram-worthy pop-up picnic experiences across the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. My business is built around delivering fully styled, effortless outdoor celebrations where I personally oversee everything from design and setup to complete teardown, ensuring each event is seamless and visually stunning. We focus on creating highly aesthetic, “bougie” picnic experiences tailored for intimate and small-group occasions such as date nights, proposals, birthdays, brunch gatherings, and special celebrations. Every setup is thoughtfully designed to feel both luxurious and personal, blending comfort with elegant styling. Our core service packages include three signature experiences. The “Cozy & Casual” setup is designed for romantic, intimate moments, especially couples and proposal celebrations. The “Boho & Bubbly” package is a larger, beautifully styled arrangement for groups of up to eight guests, ideal for milestone events and social brunches. The “Movie Night” experience transforms private outdoor spaces into a cinematic setting with a projector, screen, and gourmet popcorn station for a premium open-air entertainment experience. In addition, we offer gourmet add-ons such as charcuterie boards, specialty beverages, s’mores stations, and instant Polaroid photography to enhance the overall experience. We primarily operate within a 25-mile radius of Washington, D.C., frequently setting up at scenic waterfront locations. Our preferred spots include Gravelly Point in Arlington, known for its unique riverfront views and airplane landings; Founder's Park in Alexandria, offering a peaceful and clean waterfront lawn ideal for elegant setups; and Hains Point ​/​ East Potomac Park in Washington, D.C., a spacious and picturesque area surrounded by water and seasonal cherry blossoms.
