I’m Sevanna, the proud owner and founder of C O V E Catering & Event Hire, a Newcastle-based catering and event planning company. Starting my own event business at 24 years old, after graduating in event management, has truly been a dream come true. C O V E operates from a registered shopfront with a commercial kitchen and a dedicated team. Our pricing reflects the real costs of running a professional business, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service using locally sourced products whenever possible to create premium grazing experiences. Previously known as Sweet Delights Picnics (established June 2019), our journey has led to many exciting opportunities. We have catered for Married At First Sight 2020, filmed a segment for Getaway 2021, hosted a Christmas charity event for Soul Cafe, appeared on NBN News for a Mother’s Day segment, worked on photoshoots with well-known models, and received 2× Hunter Local Business Finalist awards. In October 2020, I launched our sister business, Bagus Coffee Bar, where we currently operate from. At C O V E, we specialise in deluxe picnics, grazing tables, banquets, grazing boxes, and event hire services. We cater for weddings, hens parties, engagements, intimate dinners, and special events of all sizes, with hire items including backdrops, arches, portable bars, peacock chairs, umbrellas, plinths, champagne walls, and more. Date Night Picnic – $450 + 10% GST 2-hour picnic hire including full setup and pack up, cleaning and sanitisation, a small savoury grazing box, picnic table, rugs, cushions, décor, candles, plates, cutlery, utensils, glasses, and napkins at a romantic location of your choice. Catered Group Picnic 10 PAX: $95pp 11–19 PAX: $80pp 20–40 PAX: $74pp 41–60 PAX: $62pp Seated Picnic: Additional $5pp Includes 3-hour picnic hire, full setup and pack up, cleaning and sanitisation, picnic tables, rugs, cushions, décor, umbrellas, peacock chair, plates, napkins, glasses, cutlery, utensils, and grazing food. Drinks are BYO. Additional time is $50 per hour. Non-Catered Group Picnic (Styling Only) Minimum 10 people 10–60 PAX: $45pp 41–60 PAX: $40pp Includes 3-hour picnic hire with full setup and pack up, cleaning and sanitisation, picnic tables, rugs, cushions, décor, umbrellas, peacock chair, plates, napkins, glasses, cutlery, and utensils.
